John Agustus McClear (1859-1954), below and in the white coat, ran a general store at 482 West Side Avenue in Jersey City until he was well into his 90s. Some of Rich's earliest memories are going to that store. Great grandpa would throw orange peel on the fire in the pot bellied stove and start telling stories.
