OTPOR was the Student resistance movement in Serbia. Under Milosevic it was vilified with the poster "Madlen Jugend" or "Madeline Youth" which tried to tie OTPOR to both the American Secretary of State and to Hitler Youth. The OTPOR clenched fist replaced the swastika on the flag and armband. OTPOR got its revenge. In the year after the fall of Milosevic it ran a series of posters with pictures of events over the last decade, including the destruction of Vukovar, empty shelves, bank notes denominated in the billions of dinars and demonstrators being beaten up. They asked the question "Who is responsible?" with a picture of Milosevic on the side. Then, a week later posters of Milosevic behind bars appeared asking "When?" That weekend, it turned out. Below in the right are two of the posters.
The OTPOR clenched fist logo (left) may be the best known political logo in Serbia. It adorned OTPOR posters, and has been modified for specific campaigns after Milosevic fell from power they turned it around in a get out the vote campaign and used the slogan "Put a stamp on it!." (right) On the first anniversary of the fall of Milosevic OTPOR turned the logo around and made it a pointed finger and added the slogan "You are mostly the same."
