Kosov@

Serbs spell it Kosovo with the emphasis on the first sylable.  Albanians spell it Kosova with the emphasis on the second.  Some friends who wanted to be politically correct developed the spelling I show in bold above.  We first traveled to Kosovo in June 1999, several days after KFOR, and have worked there on and off since then.  There are five sets of pictures here.  Prishtina (or Pristina in Serbian), Outside Prishtina, which has several webpages that you can navigate to.  I especially like the pictures of Prizren (what may be the city most evocative of the Balkans).  There are also pictures of America Icons in Kosovo, pictures of many of the memorials from the recent war and, finally, photos from June 1999.
