Mother Armenia (center) has a sword and faces Turkey, if you take a bellicose point of view, or Mt. Ararat, the holy mountain of Armenia.  The monument left center (above) is in front of the Polish Embassy.

The Statue of Kara Bala is on the right.  He stood on a street corner in the 1930s and handed roses to pretty women.  He still stands there.   The Greek style statue is holding up the roof of the IREX Media Office, which used to be an OB-GYN Clinic.  It even has a sandbox.
