Sitka, Alaska is our home.  People often ask what it is like.  I have seen whales breach from my window, and often see a bald eagle dive for a fish. Here are some shots taken from the several windows of our house.  The Aurora was NOT taken with a time exposure.  The Volcano is Mt. Edgecumbe and our neighborhood tugboat is the Thunderbird.  The kids liked to trick or treat the boat.  Some people ask us why we leave Sitka to travel abroad.  We love both Sitka and our work.  We juggle it the best we can.   I now have the best of both.  I live in Sitka and telecommute to a job in Washington, DC.  I have a nice view when I look out over my computer screen.  I also still get a chance to travel.
